Massage therapy is considered part of the Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM). Massage helps to reduce stress, reduce pain and muscle tension, and increase blood circulation and lymph flow. It helps to balance and bring overall well being to the body. Massage helps with discomforts associated with pregnancy, digestive disorders, fibromyalgia, headaches and migraines, insomnia related to stress, myofascial pain syndrome, paresthesias and nerve pain, soft tissue strains or injuries, sports injuries and temporomandibular joint pain. Massage can also help to alleviate back pain, assist with shorter and easier labor for expectant mothers, enhance immunity by stimulating lymph flow, increase joint flexibility, lessen depression and anxiety, promote tissue regeneration, reduce scar tissue and stretch marks, reduce spasms and cramping and relax and soften injured or overused muscles
Cupping uses suction to soften adhesions and stagnation within muscles, loosen tight connective tissues, increase blood flow, release the lymphatic system and pull out toxins in specific areas therefore relieving pain and tension.
About Chi Nei Tsang
Chi Nei Tsang is literally translated as "working the energy of the internal organs" or "internal organs chi transformation". CNT practitioners work mainly in the abdomen area with deep, soft and gentle touches, to help train the internal organs to work more efficiently. CNT can address all of the body systems: digestive, respiratory, cardiovascular, lymphatic, nervous, endocrine, urinary, reproductive, muscular-skeletal and the acupuncture meridian system (Chi).
